ORSON's CHAIR

    "Orson’s Chair" premiered at the True/False Documentary

    Film Festival in Columbia, Missouri in March 2008 as part

    of the “Gimme Truth” short film competition.  Films

    selected for Gimme Truth must be 2 minutes or less in

    length, and must be either completely true, or completely

    false.  The screening itself is much like a game show: 

    films are shown for an enthusiastic local audience, and a

    panel of 3 visiting filmmaker judges each ask one question

    of the film’s director.  They then decide whether they think

    the film is a true documentary, or a “mock doc”.  Prizes

    are awarded for films that fool all 3 judges, and for the

    judges’ pick for the top 3 overall films of the Gimme Truth

    competition.
